Renta Future

Renta Future includes machinery and equipment that represent next-generation technology. To qualify for the Future label, the equipment must deliver significantly improved environmental performance, enhanced safety, or zero-emission operation compared to the best alternatives currently available on the market.

With the Future symbol, you can recognize the machines of the future.

Look for the green Renta Future label in our range to more easily find environmentally friendly machinery and equipment. Machines that carry this symbol represent the most advanced technology in the industry and help improve both efficiency and the working environment.

RENTAL IS SHARING ECONOMY

The sharing economy is about providing access rather than ownership. It helps reduce overproduction and enables smarter use of resources – without making everyday operations less efficient.

Rental represents both the circular economy and the sharing economy, and is an important contribution to a more sustainable industry.

Our ambition is to be the most sustainable and digital partner in the rental industry. In 2025, we strengthened this direction by establishing a Group-wide greenhouse gas baseline and setting new climate targets:

a 20% reduction in CO₂ emission intensity by 2030 and 40% by 2040, alongside increasing the share of green electricity to above 95% by 2030.

Sustainable Development Goals

Our work with the SDGs

9: Industry, innovation og infrastructure

By providing access to modern and up-to-date equipment, Renta enables a more efficient and innovative construction industry — contributing to better and more sustainable solutions. With Renta Easy, you get full visibility of all CO₂ emissions data and the environmental impact associated with your project.

11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

By promoting efficient resource use in construction projects, Renta contributes to the development of more sustainable cities and communities. Through the use of electric vehicles in parts of its operations, environmental impact in urban areas is reduced—helping improve air quality and eliminate local emissions of nitrogen oxides

12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Renta contributes to more responsible resource use by offering equipment rental instead of ownership. This allows multiple users to share the same resources, reducing the need for new production and helping minimize waste.

17: Partnerships for the Goals

Renta collaborates with partners to reduce our environmental footprint.

  • Together with Norsk Gjenvinning, we have a tailored waste concept that improves sorting rates and supports sustainable waste management across our depots.
  • Together with Smartvatten, we enable analysis of water consumption data across locations, improving resource control, enabling faster action, and strengthening environmental follow-up.
  • Together with Fortum, we have consolidated our electricity supply with a single provider, ensuring renewable electricity at all our depots and providing better visibility and control of energy use.
